Vice President - Interest Rate Product Control

A top tier investment bank is looking for an experienced Product Controller to join their team here in New York City. The candidate will be part of the Interest Rates Controller Team supporting the US Government, US Agency and Agency Pass thru Trading Desk. Product coverage includes: MBS, TBA, IRS, listed futures, agency bonds and US Treasury Bonds.

The role will oversee the production and reporting of fully attributed P&L, and involves market risk/balance sheet analysis. The position requires daily interaction with the trading desk and various groups across finance, operations and the business unit.

Main Responsibilities Include:

-Management of team
-Oversight of fully attributed P&L Production
-Process reengineering to improve efficiencies
-Month end close
-Balance Sheet Analysis, including sources of funding
-Quarterly disclosures
-Project Management
-PBT and expense analysis
-Market risk analysis
-Ad-hoc requests from desk and other internal clients

Required Skills:

-8-10 years of related experience
-Fast learner and self-motivated
-Fixed income P&L production experience
-Strong knowledge of interest rate risk components
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Experience with Interest Rate Derivatives and Mortgage Backed Securities preferred
-Accounting/Finance Degree preferred
